Test send-out process

Local partner lab collects the samples from hospitals and regional laboratories.

Samples are transported through global courier channels to us.

Once we receive the sample, the sample is accessioned and DNA is extracted.

DNA is checked with rigorous quality control standards and sequenced,after which variants are prioritized by evidence.
- 5
Our team of medical doctors confirm and interpret the variants with the patients’ symptoms. The result is delivered to ordering institutions.
Guidelines for the test request.
1. Select the right test for your patients.

2. Collect the specimen and fill in the requisition form.
Material Requirements
Sample material must be labeled with Patient’s full name and Patient’s date of birth.

Sample Requirements
Specimens received that do not meet GC Genome’s requirements may be not start the testing process.
1. EDTA tube Request tubes
Applicable tests Tests of which the specimen is whole blood and bone marrow
Container EDTA tube (purple-top tube)
Collection 3ml of blood (bone marrow is receivable for hematologic cancer test)
Handling Mixed thoroughly to prevent clotting

2. Roche Cell-Free DNA tube Request tubes
Applicable tests G-NIPT
Container Roche Cell-Free DNA tube
Collection 10ml of blood
Shipping conditions Room temperature
After draw, whole blood containing Roche Cell-Free DNA tube should be stored at 15°C – 30°C up to 7 days total, including shipping.
3. Streck Cell-Free DNA BCT tube Request tubes
Applicable tests G-NIPT, Liquid Biopsy
Container Streck Cell-Free DNA BCT tube
Collection G-NIPT: 10ml of blood / liquid biopsy: 10ml of blood * 2 bottles
Shipping conditions Store tubes prior to blood draw at 2 °C to 30 °C until expiration date printed on label. After draw, whole blood containing Cell-Free DNA BCT should be stored at 18 °C to 25 °C for up to 7 days total, including shipping.
4. g-CARD Request g-CARD
Applicable tests i-screen
Container g-CARD (blood paper)
Collection Fill all 8 blue circles until the blood is thoroughly absorbed.
Keep the blood paper drying and shading condition.
Shipping conditions Room temperature
* 4 Blue circles on each side.
* Place the blood paper in an uncontaminated flat surface to dry for >1 hour.
* Do not expose to heat or direct sunlight.
5. Noble bio swab kit Request kit
Applicable tests greenbiome GUT, greenbiome P&D

Collection Open the tube and collect the sample using the brush.
Place the collected brush into the tube and close the lid tightly.
Shipping conditions Room temperature
* Do not throw away the liquid inside the tube.

* It is recommended to collect as many different parts of the stool as possible.

* Avoid eating food (especially chocolate) left in your mouth before the test as it may affect the results.
* If you have tooth decay or periodontitis, focus on collecting the affected area (especially plaque).
6. AccuBuccal Collection Kit Request kit
Applicable tests Genome Health
Container AccuBuccal Collection Kit
Collection Open the tube and collect the sample using the brush.
Place the collected brush into the tube containing preservation buffer, close the lid tightly, and gently shake 10 times.
Shipping conditions Room temperature
* Do not throw away the liquid inside the tube.
* Thoroughly rinse your mouth 30 minutes prior to collection.
* Do not brush teeth, eat food, drink beverages, chew gum or use tobacco 30 minutes prior to collection.
7. FFPE slides
Applicable tests Solid tumor panel, HRD
Shipping conditions Room temperature
Collection
– Unstained slide: diameter ≥ 1.5 cm, 2 pieces on one slide
– Tumor proportion : > 30% (mark tumor position on slide)
– Tissue should be fixed in 10% neutral-buffered formalin. Other fixatives not acceptable.
– Decalcified specimens are not acceptable.

– 10 unstained sections from one block (10 μm x 10 sections) & H&E 1 slide
– tissue size : 4 mm x 4 mm
* Unstained slide Only, FFPE block is not acceptable.
* Pathology report should be enclosed with samples.

– 20 unstained sections from one block (10 μm x 20 sections) & H&E 1 slide
3. Send the sample and requisition form to GC Genome.
Use the fastest available courier, e.g. FedEx, DHL, UPS, or USPS
Label your content as ‘non-hazardous, non-infectious, human samples for examination
Let your account manager know the airway bill number so that they can keep tracking.

4. Receive the results.
When your patient’s test results are ready, you’ll receive a notification email.
Simply log in to your online account to view, save or print the report.
